Module-3

As was introduced in ModuleĀ 1, the processes of counselling and psychotherapy overlap so that at times it is hard to distinguish one from another. An analogy was given to help in understanding these differences: The colour yellow changes to become blue through any number of variations of green. In this way counselling that is focussed on a particular problem in the analogy is yellow. Psychodynamic counselling takes us further along the scale, yellow becoming green. Psychodynamic psychotherapy takes us further along; this is green, becoming at some times blue. Blue is reserved for analysis.
